Here’s a new identification system I created based on Name (blue), Date of Birth (Red) and Place of Birth (Yellow). The identification system is made up of three layers based on each of these, and to show each layer clearly I have used the primary colours of which overlapping layers can be worked out by the secondary or tertiary colour produced. The distance of the line towards the centre of the circle signifies a letter so the letter ‘J’ would be 10/26 of the distance and the spacing between each character is based on the number of characters using the full circle. The central cross is merely for alignment when scanning the image so that the layers are read correctly. The idea was that upon birth every person would get a means of identification which would last them through life as the three facts chosen would never change, the final image is what my identification would look like stating, Jamie Peter Adams, 16 01 1993, Basildon Essex England. The three facts chosen are obviously not 100% unique to any individual but combined offer incredibly low chances of having two identical identifications, as shown by my representation of my tutor group ‘Corvus’ showing the variation between the students.

Have to re-design a book cover we don’t like (1), my new layout designs, very minimal (2 & 3)…..Straight little lines represent where text would go :)) These are not perfect rectangle proportions, straight lines or anything, just quick designs. My fav is the ‘sun’ looking one on (2), but unsure about the size, spacing and positioning of text…

Not amazing, the bottom ones on (2) are fucking awful haha

you have that effect on me.
for a “book” project that I was recently set I became interested in the idea of the words in a book being cut out/censored. what I didn’t realise until later was that the effect on the back of the page was something beautiful. i became interested in embossing as its something i haven’t tried before. new concepts interest and enthuse me.

I love soviet stuff so much, (as if you didn’t known that by looking at my work hahaa)
Karel Sourek, 1945 - Text reads ‘Hail to the Red Army Protectors of the New World’
